Our Capabilities
25mm — 1000mm · SDR 11 / 17 / 26
Specialist HDPE butt welding for water, gas, and sewerage. Every weld certified with data logging. Latest bead-cutting technology with CCTV verification.
Natural Gas · LPG · Commercial · Industrial
Full natural gas and LPG network installation. From property-scale gas reticulation to industrial-grade transmission pipelines. 50+ completed projects for Egoli Gas.
Potable · Waste · Stormwater
Domestic, industrial, and transmission lines for water and sewerage. HDPE or steel construction. Complete civil integration including manholes, pump stations, and connections.
High-Pressure · Corrosion-Coated
Steel pipeline construction for high-pressure gas and water transmission. Full welding capability with NDT-verified joints. Suitable for industrial and municipal applications.
Asphalt · Concrete · Block Paving
Complete road and paving services. Integrated with our pipeline work for full site reinstatement, or standalone civil works for new developments and industrial yards.
Gabions · Loffelstein · Concrete
Retaining walls, gabion structures, and reinforced concrete work. Storm water management infrastructure. Engineered solutions for difficult sites and slope stabilization.
Technical Differentiation
Most contractors weld pipe and hope it holds. We use data-logging fusion machines that record temperature, pressure, and cooling time for every joint. Every weld gets a certificate. Every certificate has a serial number. Every project gets a complete weld register.
Butt Fusion Welding · DN 1000 · Certified Process
Operating since 2003 across South Africa's most demanding infrastructure projects.
Completed for South Africa's largest natural gas distributor — and currently on their biggest project yet.
Relocated gas, water, and sewerage lines for Johannesburg's Bus Rapid Transit corridors.
Full HDPE butt fusion capability from 25mm domestic to 1000mm transmission-grade pipeline.
Why Velocity
We don't subcontract critical pipeline work. Every HDPE weld, every excavation, every reinstatement is done by Velocity-employed crews on Velocity-owned equipment. Quality control starts and ends with us.
Data-logging fusion machines, CCTV bead cutters, NDT testing equipment — we run the latest HDPE welding technology in the country. Because pipeline failures are expensive. Certified welds aren't.
Since 2003, we've delivered for Egoli Gas, Steyn City, the BRT network, and dozens more. The infrastructure we built two decades ago is still in the ground, still moving gas and water. That's the standard.
Client Feedback
They've completed over 50 projects for us across the network. Every weld is certified, every project on time. We give them our biggest jobs because they don't miss.

Egoli Gas · Pty Ltd
When we built out Steyn City's gas, water, and LPG networks, we needed a contractor who could handle the scale and the standard. Velocity delivered the complete network on schedule.

HDPE pipeline relocation across BRT corridors is high-stakes work — we couldn't afford failures under bus stations. Velocity's data-logged welds and certified processes gave us the audit trail we needed.

Procurement Questions
Most pipeline projects can start within 4-6 weeks of brief approval, depending on materials availability and site readiness. Emergency or critical infrastructure work can be expedited. Project timelines are issued in writing with every quote.
All HDPE butt-welded joints carry a 10-year warranty backed by our data-logged certification records. Civil works (paving, retaining, concrete) carry a 12-month workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed through to clients.
Public Liability, Contractors All Risk, and SASRIA cover for every project. Workers' compensation (Letter of Good Standing) maintained continuously. Insurance certificates and indemnity letters provided per project. Coverage limits available on request.
Standard pipeline contracts start at R1M minimum. We accept smaller scopes when bundled with larger works or for existing clients. We don't compete on domestic-scale work — our equipment and team structure is built for industrial and infrastructure-grade projects.
Our primary operating areas are Gauteng, Free State, and KwaZulu-Natal. We mobilise to other provinces for projects of suitable scale (typically R10M+). All work delivered with Velocity-employed crews — no third-party subcontracting on critical scopes.
Every HDPE butt weld is performed on data-logging fusion machines that record temperature, pressure, and cooling profile per joint. Each weld receives a unique certificate with serial number. CCTV bead-cutting verification on critical joints. Full weld register supplied at project handover.
